Crop for a Cause Making MS a Memory

March 3, 2007 -- It was an amazing evening and you are an amazing group!! Because of your generosity we were able to raise $11,719.40 for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (an the checks are still coming in). With your help we--by far--exceeded our goal of raising $10,000 (which we had hoped to raise between the crop night and the MS walk-a-thon) for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I feel honored to have been a part of it!

From our local restaurants to nationwide companies, from online groups, community groups and my many friends and family members, your collaboration and generosity was incredible!!! Isn't it amazing what a difference we can all make when we work together!

You really are amazing!!!

I hope you all enjoyed the fun at "Crop for a Cause". I heard from many of you on how heartwarming, fun and uplifting the evening was for you and how proud you were to have been a part of it. I honestly could not have done this without all of you. Your support and gerosity is both overwhelming and humbling! You have truly made a difference in the fight against M.S. For those of you that weren't able to make it...WOW did we have fun!!! I sure hope you can be there next year...(did I say next year?!)

I also wanted to let all of you know that you inspired me that night to take things a bit further. Due to the overwhelming response at the event I have decided to form a team for the walk-a-thon on May 6th, called "Crop For a Cause: Making MS a Memory". If you are already a walker and are not part of a team, please consider joining ours. If you have not ever done the walk and have been thinking of it, I am officially inviting all of you to join me!! There is a link on the side of this site that explains all of the details...and of course it will tell you about all of the FUN FREEBIES I am offering to my team!!

I appreciate all of your suggestions and feedback. Seeing as this was the first time any of us had attempted an event of this kind we will be brainstorming on ways to improve for next year...that is after "The Team" takes a breather. Many of you expressed an interest in getting involved in the planning process. Please e-mail me with your info and what job you would enjoy doing so I can get you in touch with the appropriate committee chairperson.
